Stress Engineers  Required Aerospace  Domain with skills in   NASTRAN  :  Location: UK

Our Clients are  a part of the $ 175 millions Group  positions itself as a “Virtual extension” of their customers’ Engineering and Design teams, offering a spectrum of world-class services in industrial Design, CAD, CAM and CAE in a variety of industries  in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

They urgently require Stress Engineers  in  Aerospace  Domain with skills in   NASTRAN  :  Location: UK

Requirement :
Stress Engineers with experience of Aircraft structures analysis in both Metallic and composites. Experience in Finite Element Analysis, Hand Calcs,

FEM, MSC Nastran, Patran. The ability to write reports. Engineers with Experience of Fatigue & Damage Tolerance would also be interesting.

Domain :Aerospace
key Skill Set:

• 4 years experience of stress analysis
• Minimum HND qualification (or equivalent); or relevant experience
• Good knowledge of NASTRAN software in linear and non linear analysis
• Good knowledge of repair and concession substantiations
• Excellent knowledge of performing hand calculations (using such tools as ESDU, Niu, Bruhn ...)
• Excellent knowledge of preparing stress report, covering static fatigue and damage tolerance
• Good general aircraft knowledge and experience of civil A/C Nacelle structures
• Knowledge of metallic and composite materials and structures

Desirable Skills:

• Bachelor of  Engineering degree
• Knowledge of a production environment

A Flight Test Operations Center are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill their Mechanical / Structural Design Engineer position.
Job responsibilities include providing engineering mechanical / structural design concepts for flight test aircraft, engines and components.
Candidates must have the ability to apply Unigraphics , Catia, AutoCad, Ansys and other engineering computer applications to solve engineering assignments.

Bachelor of Engineering  in appropriate engineering discipline or higher qualification  is required.
